Join former Monadnock State Park Manager Ben Haubrich, hiking enthusiast Trish Harper, and naturalist Susie Spikol for an all-day hike up Mount Monadnock. Our challenging, 5-mile roundtrip route will be both scenic and historic as we climb up the Old Toll Road to the Halfway House, then take less-traveled trails like Cart Path, Mossy Brook, and Cliff Walk. Along the way, we’ll hear some of Ben’s favorite memories of working at this iconic mountain, and keep our eyes and ears open for wildlife sign.

This hike is only recommended for experienced hikers who are comfortable with steep, rocky, rugged terrain. Bring water and lunch for a picnic at the summit.

Meet at the Old Toll Road parking area off Route 124 in Jaffrey at 9 a.m. Back by 3 p.m. The Harris Center will reserve parking for all participants. Space is limited, and registration is full. To add your name to the waitlist, please contact Miles Stahmann.
