Based on a true story, My Life as a Turkey chronicles naturalist Joe Hutto’s remarkable experience of raising a group of sixteen Wild Turkey hatchlings to adulthood. This charming, award-winning film explores the unique connection between Hutto and his brood with humor and thoughtfulness, providing a rare glimpse into how these curious, intelligent birds see the world. See a preview here.
Following the film, Hancock resident and NHFG biologist Mark Ellingwood will be on hand to “talk turkey.” This program has all the fixings for a great evening. Come gobble it up! 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hancock Town Library. For more information, please contact Susie Spikol at (603) 525-3394 or by email.
Cosponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and the Hancock Town Library.
