Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who share their enthusiasm with the general public through projects such as teaching in school gardens, answering garden questions on the UNH Extension Infoline, providing garden interpretation at museums or nature centers, and presenting programs to garden clubs, libraries, and other civic organizations. To become a NH Master Gardener, join UNH Cooperative Extension staff and garden professionals for this 12-week, in-person training.

This class will meet Thursdays, March 3 through May 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Harris Center.

Cost: $300, plus $25 materials fee for a printed manual. Scholarship funds are available, and electronic versions of the manual are available for free.

Space is limited, and an application is required. Anyone interested in this training must complete an application on the New Hampshire Master Gardeners webpage. Qualified applicants will be interviewed prior to acceptance in the class, with preference given to candidates from southwestern New Hampshire. For more information, contact Ruth Smith by email.
