Painting “plein air” allows artists the opportunity to capture the emotional and sensory dimensions of a particular landscape at a particular moment in time, bringing a spirit of spontaneity and truth to their art. Stop by anytime during this special event to wander along the Harris Center grounds, observing painters and photographers from the New Hampshire Chapter of Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA/NH) at work. In addition to people painting, actors from Project Shakespeare will be strolling around in their “Taming of the Shrew” costumes.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Harris Center grounds. There will be an opportunity to purchase some of the “wet paint” works at the end of the day. Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and the New Hampshire Chapter of Women’s Caucus for Art.

WCA/NH is part of a national organization that promotes the advancement of women in the visual arts through educational programs, networking, and exhibition opportunities.
