Join Eric Masterson and Meade Cadot for a visit to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, located on Plum Island in Essex County, Massachusetts – one of the best birding locations in all of New England. Plum Island offers a variety of habitats for both landbirds and waterbirds, and the birding there can be especially exciting during spring migration.
We’ll carpool from the Harris Center to Plum Island, where we’ll meet up with David Moon, Director of Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center. Bring lunch and binoculars, and meet at 7 a.m. at the Harris Center. Back by 3 p.m. There is a $5 per vehicle charge to enter the refuge (waived to holders of Duck Stamp, America the Beautiful, Senior, or Access passes from the U.S. Department of the Interior). RSVP to Eric Masterson.
NOTE: This outing originally scheduled for April 26, but was postponed due to poor weather.
