Have you ever wondered how animals and plants survive winter’s freezing temperatures and snowy conditions? Come join Harris Center naturalists Susie Spikol and Nikko Gagnon for a morning exploration of the Hiroshi Property in Peterborough, New Hampshire. We’ll hike or snowshoe along the trails of this spectacular property, exploring the survival techniques of winter active animals like beavers, otters, and owls. The Center has snowshoes and poles to loan.

10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hiroshi Land in Peterborough. To register, contact Jen Whitney or call the Keene Vet Center at (603) 358-4950. For more information, contact Susie.

Co-sponsored by The Keene Vet Center and the Harris Center for Conservation Education.
