Join ecologist Nate Marchessault for a hands-on introduction to iNaturalist, an online community science platform for documenting biodiversity. We’ll start with group instruction on how to collect and submit natural history observations via the iNaturalist app, then venture out to document as many species as possible along the Eastview and North Pond Trails. Bring a smartphone or tablet with the iNaturalist app already installed, and come prepared for biting insects.

Meet at 9 a.m. at the Eastview Trail parking area on Hancock Road in Harrisville. Back by noon. Space is limited, and registration is required.

For general information about Harris Center field trips, see our Outings Information page. For more information about this particular outing, including questions about accessibility, contact Nate.
