Join Harris Center naturalist Susie Spikol, seasoned hike leader Ben Haubrich, and Dave Anderson of the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests for an easygoing exploration of an exceptional Forest Society property near downtown Antrim. We’ll discover the diverse cultural and natural history of this site as we hike through a variety of habitats, from upland pine-oak-hemlock forests to silver maple floodplains along the Contoocook River.

The terrain will be relatively flat, but uneven on this 2-mile loop. Dress for the weather, and come prepared for winter conditions with spikes or snowshoes (or borrow winter gear from us).

10 a.m. to noon at McCabe Forest in Antrim. Directions to the exact meeting location will be provided prior to the event. Space is limited, and registration is required. For general information about Harris Center field trips, see our Outings Information page. For more information about this particular outing, including questions about accessibility, contact Susie.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests.
