Celebratory Paddle at Robb Reservoir
Saturday, October 26,
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Calling all birders, paddlers, and history buffs! Join Phil Brown, Alan Rumrill, and Geri Bailey for a leisurely paddle through one of the most diverse ecosystems in New England, where we’ll look for eagles, turtles, herons, and more. Afterward, we’ll discuss the remarkable human and conservation history of the 1,750-acre Robb Reservoir reservation, which was once home to hayfields, mills, and a glass factory – and which nearly became an 82-home subdivision. Bring your own canoe or kayak, binoculars, and a PFD for each person in your boat, and come prepared for a variety of weather conditions on the open water.
9 a.m. to noon at Robb Reservoir in Stoddard. Exact meeting location will be provided upon registration. Space is limited, and registration is required.
