Scurry into the world of New Hampshire’s small mammals with Harris Center naturalist Ben King. We’ll search stone walls and forest edges for squirrel nests, chipmunk dens, mice burrows, and nibbled acorns, and discover how these furry little critters prepare for winter. Learn to talk like a chipmunk, hop like a squirrel, and hide like a mouse! A great program for preschoolers and early elementary-aged children and their families.
11 a.m. to noon at Beech Hill in Dublin. Exact meeting location will be provided upon registration. Space is limited, and registration is required.
For general information about Harris Center field trips, including questions about accessibility, see our Outings Information page. For more information about this particular event, please contact Ben.
Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and the Beech Hill-Dublin Lake Watershed Association.
