Calling all kids ages 9 through 18 who care about wildlife! Try your hand at field research, develop your naturalist skills, and do something to help the wild animals of our world by counting critters with the Harris Center. In June, join Harris Center naturalist Susie Spikol and LAB GIRLS teacher Emily Wrubel for a chance to be part of NH Fish and Game’s NH Bat Counts project. Using click counters, we’ll count bats as they exit and enter a well-known roost. You’ll need sharp eyes, fast reflexes, and a healthy sense of nighttime adventure. Be sure to check out our other Kids Count for Wildlife event in May, too.

8 to 9 p.m. at the Willard Pond Wildlife Sanctuary in Antrim. Children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by an interested family member. All others can attend without parental supervision. Space is limited, and registration is required.

For general information about Harris Center field trips, including questions about accessibility, see our Outings Information page. For more information about this particular event, please contact Susie.
