Calling all kids ages 9 through 18 who care about wildlife! Try your hand at field research, develop your naturalist skills, and do something to help the wild animals of our world by joining Harris Center naturalists Karen Seaver and Susie Spikol for an afternoon of salamander counting! Together, we’ll flip over special wooden boards at six different spots in the Harris Center woods in search of red-backed salamanders to count, all part of SPARCnet — a long-term study of this common woodland species.
4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Harris Center. Children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by an interested family member. All others can attend without parental supervision. Space is limited, and registration is required.
This program is now full. To be added to the waitlist, please contact Miles Stahmann.
