Join Richard Doherty (he/him), Audrey Dunn (she/her), and Hunter Kirschner (he/they) for an LGBTQIA+ community hike along the Monadnock Branch Rail Trail in Jaffrey. We’ll keep a leisurely pace as we follow the flat, wide trail along the Contoocook River and across Contoocook Lake to the Rindge town line before returning the way we came. At lunchtime, we’ll stop and heat some water on the camp stove for tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.

Our total distance will be about 3 miles roundtrip, with little to no elevation gain. Dress for the weather, bring lunch and plenty of water, and come prepared for winter conditions with spikes or snowshoes (or borrow winter gear from us). This hike is specifically for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Jaffrey. Directions to the exact meeting location will be provided prior to the event. Space is limited, and registration is required. For general information about Harris Center field trips, see our Outings Information page. For more information about this particular outing, including questions about accessibility, contact Hunter.
