Join adventurers Kathy Schillemat and Tom Momeyer for a paddle down the North Branch of the Contoocook River from Robb Reservoir to Compass Pond. With luck, we’ll see herons, waterfowl, turtles, and maybe even moose. In most places, the paddling will be easy, but our route will likely include some short portages over beaver dams and rocky areas, so come prepared to get your feet wet. One or two vehicles will be available at the endpoint to shuttle paddlers back to their cars.

Meet at the Robb Reservoir parking area on Keene Concord Road in Stoddard at 8 a.m. Back by noon. Bring your own canoe or kayak, a PFD for each person in your boat, and plenty of water and snacks, and come prepared for sun and biting insects. Space is limited, and registration is full.
