Join Mike Gagnon and Matt Tarr of UNH Extension for a relaxed ramble focused on identifying trees in winter. We’ll examine branching, buds, and bark while the leaves are off  the trees, and discuss how each species functions as habitat for wildlife. Dress for the weather, and come prepared for winter conditions with spikes or snowshoes (or borrow winter gear from us).

2 to 4 p.m. at the Jaquith Rail Trail in Hancock. Directions to the exact meeting location will be provided prior to the event. Space is limited, and registration is required. For general information about Harris Center field trips, see our Outings Information page. For more information, including questions about accessibility, contact Brett Amy Thelen.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and the UNH Cooperative Extension.
