Reducing Our Reliance on Fossil Fuels, One Ray at a Time

Last month, we put the finishing touches on a grid of 30 new solar panels atop the Harris Center’s southeast-facing roofs. Collectively, this system is expected to produce approximately 8,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually – about half of the energy required to keep our building running each year.

This project is a huge step towards reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, and was made possible by a generous bequest from a Harris Center supporter. We are deeply grateful to her – and to all who have included the Harris Center in their estate planning.
