Reel In and Recycle at Robb Reservoir

July 26, 2013

Abandoned and improperly-discarded fishing line poses a significant threat to aquatic life: loons, turtles, fish, and other wildlife can become entangled in fishing line or inadvertently ingest it. Most fishing line is not biodegradable and may last up to 600 years in the water.

You can help keep our waters safe for wildlife by properly disposing of your old fishing line in the “Reel In and Recycle” bin at Robb Reservoir.

The Harris Center has recently installed a fishing line recycling bin — provided by the New Hampshire Lakes Association — at our Robb Reservoir property in Stoddard.
