Blueberry Morning Smoothie

Vital Provisions, a restaurant in Peterborough, NH, specializes in nutrient-dense and flavor-packed smoothies, juices, acai bowls, bone broths, soups, salads and sandwiches, made with organic ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible. Although this Vital Provisions smoothie recipe was specifically created to help women regulate their hormones throughout their cycle, it can be enjoyed by anybody! Simply toss in whichever of your favorite seeds you have on hand.

Ingredients

• 10 oz almond milk [or your favorite milk alternative or locally-sourced cow’s milk]
• 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
• 1/4 of an avocado
• 2 teaspoon almond butter
• 1 teaspoon each of rotating seeds*
• 1 teaspoon maple syrup
• 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

*The rotating seeds are as follows: On the first day of a new period cycle, use 1 Tablespoon each of flax seeds and pumpkin seeds daily until ovulation. Then switch the seeds to 1 Tablespoon each of sesame seeds and sunflower seeds.

Directions

1. Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor until desired consistency.
