Join Phil Brown, Harris Center Bird Conservation Director, and Ignacio Oreamuno, CEO of Troubardour Coffee and The Dreamcatchers, for a series of winter wanderings in tucked-away places close to the Harris Center. Each exploration will focus on a different natural history theme related to the conditions that present themselves that day — whether following animal trails through a boulder field, watching winter songbirds around the warmth of a bonfire, seeking out the flowing water of a winter thaw, or simply admiring the beauty and science of the winter woods. Through “micro-exploring” – the practice of focusing attention and intention on a smaller geographic area – and with the help of a little caffeine, your senses will open to new experiences right in front of you. The course fee includes free Troubardour coffee with each session, and a lesson in making coffee the Costa Rican way.

This group meets Sundays, January 7 & 21, February 4, March 17, and April 7 from 9 to 11 a.m. at field sites throughout the SuperSanctuary.

Cost: $80 for Harris Center supporters / $100 for all others

Ignacio Oreamuno is an adventure travel guide who has been taking people on journeys in Costa Rica for many years. His contagious passion for life and nature is something he loves to share on his trips. He is a Hancock resident and a mixologist, and has a bird-friendly Costa Rican coffee company.
