Join Harris Center ecologist Brett Amy Thelen and environmental historian Rowland Russell for a 2.8-mile roundtrip ramble along the base of Surry Mountain to Lily Pond Falls and back. We’ll take our time to savor the sights and sounds of the September woods, explore both natural and cultural history, and discover one of the Monadnock Region’s lesser-known waterfalls. Expect some roots, rocks, and gentle ups and downs on this well-maintained Army Corps trail, along with a short scramble (optional) to the falls.

10 a.m. to noon in Surry. Exact meeting location will be provided upon registration. Space is limited, and registration is required.
