Are you a tween or a teen with an interest in birds and birding? Join a growing movement of young adults who are learning to recognize birds and their calls while building community with other young birders!

This winter, Young Birders Club outings will include two bird surveys, as well as an expedition to Plum Island in search of Snowy Owls. Outings will be led by Harris Center Bird Conservation Director Phil Brown, raptor biologist Julie Brown, avid birder and Christmas Bird Count organizer John Ranta, ecologist Nate Marchessault, and naturalists Susie Spikol and Nikko Gagnon. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow your skills, connect with other wildlife fans, and contribute to community science. For students in grades 5 through 12.

9 to 11 a.m. at the Harris Center. Space is limited, and registration is required.

For general information about Harris Center programs, see our Outings Information page. For more information about this particular outing, including questions about accessibility, contact Susie Spikol.

Be sure to check out these related events: the Christmas Bird Count on December 14 and a Snowy Owl Search at Plum Island on March 8.
