Join Dee Denehy (she, her), Richard Doherty (he, him), and Hunter Kirschner (he, they) for an LGBTQ+ community hike on the Harris Center’s West Side Trails to Skatutakee and Thumb Mountains. This 4.5-mile loop includes one steep, rocky section and has an elevation gain of just over 1,000 feet. Along the way, we’ll see a series of wood carvings by local artist Jack McWhorter and enjoy amazing views of peak fall foliage.

Meet at the Harris Center at 1 p.m. Back by 5 p.m. Space is limited, and registration is required.

For general information about Harris Center field trips, see our Outings Information page. For questions about this particular outing, including questions about accessibility, contact Dee, Richard, or Hunter.

In an effort to create more belonging at the Harris Center, this outing has been designed with a specific group of people in mind. Learn more about our reasoning behind this on our Affinity Groups page.
