For the past several weeks, up to three Short-eared Owls have been frequenting the grasslands at Dillant-Hopkins Airport in Swanzey. This species is a rare migrant and winter visitor to New Hampshire, usually found in coastal marshes and only rarely inland. Join Eric Masterson for an evening field trip to the airport, where we’ll to try to view these enigmatic creatures. Bring binoculars and wear microspikes.
