In his essay for the July/August 2012 issue of Orion magazine (“Look, Don’t Touch“), David Sobel highlights the Harris Center as “one of the most comprehensive family engagement and education programs in northern New England” and applauds our support of “children’s freedom to roam, play, even build on preserved land.”
Harris Center naturalist Susie Spikol leads young children in a hands-on exploration of soil organisms.

David Sobel also gave the Harris Center high praise for “doing environmental education right” on NHPR’s “Word of Mouth” on July 31, 2012.
