An Opportunity to Protect 46 Acres Along Middle Road

A map showing a conservation parcel along Hancock's Middle Road.

The Harris Center is actively working to protect a 46-acre parcel on Middle Road along the Peterborough-Hancock town line. The property features exceptional wildlife habitat (ranked as “Tier 1” by the NH Wildlife Action Plan — their highest rating) along a stream that flows into Ferguson Brook, and that abuts pre-existing conservation land — providing vital room for wildlife to roam.

The owner of the property has agreed to sell it to the Harris Center for 10% of the market value, leaving us to raise $30,000 to protect this special property. To make a tax-deductible contribution in support of this project, select “Middle Road Land Protection Project” as the program for your online donation.
