Celebrate World Snake Day (July 16) by joining the Harris Center and award-winning wildlife artist Matt Patterson for a kids’ coloring contest that celebrates New Hampshire’s snakes! Here’s how it works:
- Download Matt’s Eastern milk snake coloring page here, and color it in. You can also choose to create your own original artwork depicting a New Hampshire snake species. Original art can be in any medium, but must be on 8.5″ x 11″ paper.
- For official entry in the contest, email a photo of your coloring page or original artwork — along with the artist’s name and age — to Susie Spikol at . You can also send hard copies of your art to: Susie Spikol, Harris Center for Conservation Education, 83 King’s Highway, Hancock NH 03449.
- Bonus: parents, if you’d like us to share your child’s coloring page or artwork via social media, post it to Instagram, making sure to tag both the Harris Center (@harriscenterforconservationed) and Matt Patterson (@stoneridgeartstudios) in your post.
Entries will be accepted until July 31. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories, and include Harris Center tee shirts and a small framed snake print by Matt Patterson. For more information, please contact Susie Spikol by email.
